Bacon Wrapped, Honey BBQ Chicken Skewers Paired with Great Frogs Chardonnay

These sweet, citrusy, and smoky chicken skewers, wrapped in bacon for a salty crunch, are perfect for gatherings as an entrée or appetizer. A must-try for summer grilling, they pair beautifully with Great Frogs Chardonnay, whose light-bodied flavors complement the honey BBQ chicken skewers. Enjoy!

Marinade and other ingredients        

2 tablespoon honey

Juice from one orange

Sprinkle of red pepper flakes

1/4 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp smoky paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt optional, bacon has plenty of salt.

1-lb of Chicken tenders, or breast meat cut into strips at least 1-inch thick.

Skewers.

Mix marinade ingredients together in glass container with lid or zip-lock bag. Place chicken in marinade and marinade for 30 min-overnight.

Remove chicken from marinade, (discard marinade), skewer chicken, then wrap 1-piece of bacon around in a spiral from top to bottom.

Grill Chicken for 8-10 min, turning 1/2 way through.
