Join us for a tasting and enjoy the sounds of Jacob Panic, a singer/song-writer/banjo-artist from Maryland. After receiving a scholarship in 2013 to study with the great Pete Wernick (aka Dr. Banjo) of the group Hot Rize, Jacob returned with an earnest desire to make the banjo his main instrument and focal point of his performances, which he has been doing for years in the Mid-Atlantic region. His latest recording was produced and recorded in Nashville, TN by GRAMMY award winning producer, Randy Kohrs. It features some of the regions best pickers and players including Kenny Aronoff and members of Mountain Heart.

Pressing Strings is an soul stirring trio based out of the Maryland’s capitol city of Annapolis. Their sound is a blend of American Roots, Blues, Folk, Rock and Reggae. The music stems from lead singer Jordan Sokel’s bluesy and soulful songwriting and anchored firmly by drummer Brandon Bartlett and bassist Nicholas Welker. As a trio the band has performed and recorded relentlessly, consistentlyreleasing new material. 2016 will see two new EP’s from the band. Five From Three (March 2016), a 5 track EP done mostly live with minimal overdubbing, and Most Of Us (summer 2016) which the band teamed up with producer Scott Jacoby (John Legend, Jose James, Vampire Weekend…) and engineer/producer Neil Dorfsman (Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Bob Dylan…)

Her original songs range from folksy sing-a-longs to bluesy ballads to whatever genre she feels like playing around with next. She has performed in bars and restaurants from Baltimore to Ocean City, on big stages with bands and in garages with friends, and she loves any opportunity to share her music with small towns and big cities alike.

Already a popular voice in the Baltimore/Washington Area before moving to Nashville, Pete and his band-the aptly named Peterbuilt-have opened for established stars, including Jack Ingram, Little Big Town, Trick Pony, Pat Green and Arron Lewis. Pete released his debut CD, Built to Last, in 2008 and made a splash with fans at the 2008 CMA Musical Festival. Growing up in Annapolis, Md., Pete enjoyed a variety of musical styles but developed a passion for country music because of the lyric-driven content of the songs.

Join us for a tasting and enjoy the music of Rachel Pletts. DC area singer/songwriter Pletts, originally from Jamestown, New York is all about the lyrics. This soulful folk rock mash up delivers the gamut from Dylan like story songs to Adeles’ heart-rending power ballads. Names of the like, Adele, Norah Jones, Janis Joplin, and Sia are often thrown out in comparing her emotive smoky sound and style. The words and delivery are paramount and the musical arrangement envelopes the audience so as to utterly sweep them away into the story. From intimate living room shows to grand theaters, Pletts has a God-given ability to draw the audience near and share wonderfully sweet moments.
Pletts can currently be found playing in and around Annapolis, Baltimore, DC Metro area, and New York City. Her travels have carried her around the US with several solo tours and throughout Spain and Ghana, sharing her music and life changing stories. She released her first EP, Up in Smoke, June 2013 and is in the finishing stages of recording a full length album, Mercy was a Hard Hard Year.

Her debut CD, Ricochet, was released by Big Mo Records, featuring a cameo appearance by guitar legend Danny Gatton. Since then, she has produced two more independent releases and appeared on several compilation CDs. White Space is an all-acoustic recording that is organic and moving with sparse arrangements and introspective lyrics. Play is an exceptional live recording featuring a top-notch band that showcases Angie's great songwriting, smart lyrics, beautiful melodies and strong pop hooks. Her new single release, "Flying High", is the first track available from the new CD that is due out later this year.

Her musical influences range from 50's Classic Pop to 60's Greenwich Folk with a myriad of jazz and a collage of the blues.

Students describe Katie as a passionate, strong, flexible, fun and inspiring teacher. She feels that yoga is a great compliment to the other activities that one enjoys in an active lifestyle, such as CrossFit and paddleboarding. She wishes to leave her students feeling stronger, more mobile, and more balanced after a class with her. Katie currently teaches at Yoga Love in Annapolis and Old Line CrossFit in Millersville.

There she first taught herself to play guitar and began writing songs in the comfort of her childhood room. Since then, her music has developed undertones of pop, folk, country and R&B which are layered into her catchy acoustic tunes. Karlie has appeared at several major venues in and around the Maryland area, including Rams Head Live, Baltimore Soundstage, DC9 and the 9:30 Club.
